Treading lightly upon the grounds of sociology and psychology, I am reminded of the need for community. Man is not created for isolation. Some of life's greatest successes and life's greatest disappointments are experienced in the relationship of others, but in solitude, humans experience the darkest depths of desparation. Community crosses the bounds of temporal and spatial boundaries to get at something spiritual. In that way, psychology, in many cases, fills a gap created by an insufficient community. So while my greatest concern of community is a spatial understanding, the foundation of community must be understood as relational.
